sometimes i'm struck by how ridiculous everything seems.
ever get that feeling?
dead fir trees scattered along the sidewalk. ridiculous.
cherry blossoms in bloom in january. ridiculous.
still waiting for the first snowfall.
a woman bending over her crop of yellow cloth.
people disintegrating into pieces thousands of miles away.
on the way to the subway this morning,
i passed a little girl holding her father's hand,
her eyes were the clear beautiful cool of water.
