golden beets

i cooked golden beets for the first time last weekend. there's something about them. they have such beautiful color and a sweet, delicious flavor. i had 5 people over (the same ones who helped me move last may...yes, it's taken this long! i blame jerz, as i usually do for everything). 

the menu:

herb salad with red and yellow peppers, tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette

farfalle pasta with golden beets, beet greens and pine nuts

bruschetta with white beans and walnuts 

mini chocolate fudge cakes

now that i know i can comfortably fit 6 in my apt, let the dinner parties begin!
