skip lunch
at our news meetings at work, we've been talking a lot about the depressing things that people are doing in response to the rise in food and gas prices...like clipping coupons, moving in with parents and signing up for food stamps. thinking about the staggering amounts of food that we consume and the equally staggering amount of waste we generate, our food crisis just seems to be worsening. last wednesday was 'skip lunch, fight hunger' day, and i donated my lunch money to city harvest...of course that day we had so many meetings and catered food that i probably ended up eating more than usual (with the remainder going in the bin), but still....it felt good.
