my 20-year-old cousin and i spent the day hanging out in brooklyn yesterday. it was good to see her for a longer period of time than the few short hours reserved for each new year's day. all of my cousins have grown up so quickly. i used to think they were nuisances, running around and generally acting obnoxious, but now suddenly everyone's so fun to be around. or maybe it's just that my time with them has become more precious over the years.

or maybe as we grow up, we get more tolerant and able to appreciate people despite their flaws? i feel the same way about my family! :)
