test kitchen


this may well be my new fave veg. if you like brussel sprouts, broccoli and cabbage, you'll prob like this one. kohlrabi (german turnip) sort of tastes like a combo of all of the above. one of the great things about doing the farm share is that every other week i wonder, "now what do i do with this ?mystery? vegetable?!" and figure it out. the results aren't always the most appetizing, but hey, at least i try. i roasted pieces of kohlrabi with yellow squash for dinner the other night (my usual answer for vegetables i don't know what to do with) and had the leftovers in my salad (note to my csa: too much lettuce!).
