it's been heating up here in kitchen stadium.
a few weeks ago, i made this:
salad with carrots, avocados, and sunflower seeds
wild salmon with pearl couscous, tomatoes and lemon oregano oil
green beans with lemon and pine nuts
and last saturday turned out to be an impromptu dinner and a movie night. i paired a veritable mexican fiesta with, of all things, the masterpiece theater version of jane eyre. a few friends came over, the coronas were out and ay! que delicioso. i felt like i was back in sd again.
jane eyre fiesta:
guac and black bean and corn salsa with blue chips
baja fish tacos with shredded cabbage, chipotle mayo and pico de gallo
spanish rice
corn on the cob
fruit salad (mangos and apples with honey and lime)
jane eyre part dos may very well happen this saturday. along with an attempt to bake my first cheesecake ever. i know you're excited.
