out of sorts

this morning there was a dead mouse in my room.
i'm 27. in a few months i'll be 28. soon i'll be 30.
unfortunate but true.
who was it that said time and tide waits for no man?

project runway was on last night...did you catch it?
(if so, then you'll know what i'm talking about).
in 3 words, my point of view:
ugly, unwanted, alone.
destined for singledom. spinsterhood. the life of an old maid.
why are there so many words to describe single women,
when there is only one for single men?
how unjust.

i went shopping yesterday. i think i went up a size or two. nothing fit.
and the polar bears are drowning.
stranded on little islands of ice, trying to keep afloat.
such a feeling of inexpressible sadness came over me when i read that.

*this wasn't the article i read, but the wsj online is free today.

30 isn't old. Stay young on the inside and your age in years means nothing... try to love yourself and good things will happen. Accept yourself for who you are!
You've still got many years to find someone to be with - and if you don't, what does it matter?
If your weight has got you down, you should to eat healthily, work out a regularly and get some self-respect and happiness into your life. If you respect yourself, other people will too, and who knows who you might meet?
Try not to focus on bad things :)
